| Forging |
|
Forging is the process by which metal is heated and
is shaped by plastic deformation by suitably applying compressive force.
Usually the compressive force is in the form of hammer blows using a power
hammer or a press

|
Broaching, Shaving, hobbing, Lapping, Surface Grinding,
Finisher, Fine Gear Shaper and Heat Treatment with Material: Carbon Steel,
Stainless Steel, Alloy and Non-Ferrous Metals.
|
| Stamping |
|
Stamping are blanking, piercing, forming, and drawing. These
operations are done with dedicated tooling also known as hard tooling.
This type of tooling is used to make high volume parts of one configuration
of part design. (By contrast, soft tooling is used in processes such as
CNC turret presses, laser profilers and press brakes). All these operations
can be done either at a single die station or multiple die stations -
performing a progression of operations, known as a progressive die.
|
|
Powder metallurgy uses sintering process for making
various parts out of metal powder. The metal powder is compacted by placing
in a closed metal cavity (the die) under pressure. This compacted material
is placed in an oven and sintered in a controlled atmosphere at high temperatures
and the metal powders coalesce and form a solid. A second pressing operation,
repressing, can be done prior to sintering to improve the compaction and
the material properties.

| Sand Casting |
|
Sand casting is used to make large parts (typically
Iron, but also Bronze, Brass, Aluminum). Molten metal is poured into a
mold cavity formed out of sand (natural or synthetic).

| Centrifugal Casting |
|
Centrifugal Casting: In centrifugal casting, a permanent
mold is rotated about its axis at high speeds (300 to 3000 rpm) as the
molten metal is poured. The molten metal is centrifugally thrown towards
the inside mold wall, where it solidifies after cooling. The casting is
usually a fine grain casting with a very fine-grained outer diameter,
which is resistant to atmospheric corrosion, a typical situation with
pipes. The inside diameter has more impurities and inclusions, which can
be machined away.

| Investment Casting |
|
Investment casting is also known as the lost wax
process. KFM can ensure excellent quality investment castings from China
and is very price competitive in investment cast steel and other metals

| Permanent Molding |
|
Permanent mold castings, while not as flexible as
sand castings in allowing the use of different patterns (different part
designs), lower the cost of producing a part. At a production run of 1000
or more parts, permanent mold castings produce a lower piece cost part.
Of course, the break-even point depends on the complexity of the part.
More complex parts being favored by the use of permanent molds.

| Die Casting |
|
Die-casting is similar to permanent mold casting
except that the metal is injected into the mold under high pressure of
10-210Mpa (1,450-30,500psi). This results in a more uniform part, generally
good surface finish and good dimensional accuracy, as good as 0.2 % of
casting dimension. For many parts, post-machining can be totally eliminated,
or very light machining may be required to bring dimensions to size.

| Shell Molding |
|
Shell molding process offers better surface finish,
better dimensional tolerances, and higher throughput due to reduced cycle
times.
